Roles & Responsibilities:
- Training in dyslexia management is an advantage
- Address all aspects of the learning experience, including the academic, social and emotional aspects
- Partner with family to develop productive support strategies
- Determine how the underlying learning issues impact other areas of academic, social or family dynamics
- Champion independence and interests in child, assisting him/her to take control of the learning process
- Conduct assessments and integrate his/her results to suitable strategies for teaching
- Tailor the curriculum, remediation and teaching methodology to the individual’s unique learning needs
- Perform academic screening
- Provide support for emotional and social development
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in providing learning support to children with literacy challenges
- Trained in learning approaches such as Orton-Gillingham or other relevant remedial approaches
