Payment Operations Manager (Fintech)

Role Overview:

  • Monitor the payments engine and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address payment-related issues in a systematic and timely manner.
  • Assist in building and maintaining a central updated documentation repository of all payment processes and best practices.
  • Perform user acceptance testing, etc to ensure the successful system deployment and/or payment partner onboarding.
  • Involve in project related initiatives pertaining to Payment Operations and partner onboarding related initiatives to drive innovation and constantly improve the user experience.
  • Drive improvements to our product and work processes to become more efficient.
  • Own and maintain data dashboards that provide insights and metrics for the team.
  • Collaborate with other data analysts and cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for data-driven improvements and innovations.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of operations experience, ideally at a startup company, payment processor, financial institution/bank or fintech payments/ high-growth tech company.
  • Ability to prioritize critical work and manage expectations, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth orientated environment.
  • Familiar with card payment processing, previous experience working on direct integrations with card acquiring is preferred.
  • Ability to understand how the business operates and the upstream and downstream activities that impact.
  • Passion for utilising data to drive informed decision-making and improve processes.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to create effective data visualizations is helpful but not necessary.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Math/Statistics/Computer or any equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong work ethic, good judgment, initiative and attention to detail.
  • Strong research, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
  • Oral & written language proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Able to work and contribute independently
