Job Description
- Reporting to Corporate Director.
- This role is responsible for a full range of corporate administrative matters, including accounting, office management, human resources. It also takes care of branch and the subsidiaries affairs. He/she needs to show operational leadership.
Responsibilities
1. Accounting
· To administer the accounting procedures and make any appropriate improvement thereof.
· To maintain the accounting related company rules.
· To evaluate the accounting system and propose improvement as appropriate.
· To prepare the report to the parent company upon financial results.
· To coordinate with the auditors for smooth auditing.
· To administer working out of the issues pointed out by the auditors based upon findings during audit.
· To appraise commencing trading on credit with new customers.
· To monitor collection of outstanding invoices and coordinate among the parties for accelerating collection.
· To analyse the company’s draft business plan and help the management to formulate a sound plan.
· To analyse the financial results against the business plan, and make any proposal to the management for desirable future results.
· To monitor recent developments in tax regulations, and take any appropriate measures.
2. Human Resources/ Office Administration
· To propose wage and bonus policy to the management.
· To initiate and develop human resource management policies.
· To manage labour relations.
· To institute performance management, including staff performance appraisal system.
· To propose and administer talent development.
· To develop and administer an office management, including a BCP.
· To ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
Requirements
· At least over 5 years of Finance accounting and
management accounting work experience, including
consolidated accounts closing. Need to be familiar with
IFRS.
· Corporate Tax, VAT Computation and declaration.
· Making Financial Statement including disclosure
information and Audit work experience.
· M&A treatment.
· Improvement of total work flow for accounting portion.
· Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and project
management skills.
· Excellent leadership and people management skills with
demonstrated improvement to overall department
outcomes.
· Self-driven with a positive mindset.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work
effectively across different levels. Strong negotiation skill
is a plus.
· Both English and Japanese language proficiency, oral and
written, to liaise with Japanese MD and the parent
company in Japan.
