VP Product Management

Job Title: Vice President, Product Management

Responsibilities:


Leadership and Strategy:

  • Provide visionary leadership for the product management team.
  • Develop and communicate a clear product strategy aligned with the overall company goals in EduTech domain.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the product roadmap and ensure alignment with EduTech business objectives

Team Management:

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing product management team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members.

Product Development:

  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to launch.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure successful product releases.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on market needs and business priorities.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Stay informed about Training industry trends, customer needs, and competitive products.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new products or improvements to existing ones.
  • Analyze data and customer feedback to make informed decisions about product direction.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the product management budget.
  • Monitor and analyze key financial metrics related to product performance.
  • Make data-driven decisions to optimize product profitability and growth.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate product strategies and updates to internal stakeholders, including executives, board members, and other teams.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and challenges in product development and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.



Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, engineering, etc.); MBA or advanced degree is often preferred.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in product management, with a proven track record of successful product launches.
  • Previous leadership experience, preferably at a director or senior management level.
  • Experience in Education domain and Training industry.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Communication:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Industry Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Leadership Skills:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team toward achieving common goals.

Decision-Making:

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills based on data and analysis.

Adaptability:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
