Job Description:
· The Facade Design Manager is responsible for leading the design, build and engineering of building facades to ensure that they meet safety, performance, and aesthetic standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in facade design, strong technical knowledge of facade materials and systems, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Planning and managing resources during the design phase of projects to achieve maximum resource efficiency
· Review project plans and specifications, feedback on the interior fit-out and facade design and scheduling, and thus recommend possible cost savings measures and identify potential construction problems
· In charge of Design Team to carry out façade design or related works.
· Ensure design, drawings, and all other deliverables meet the standard requirements, specifications and within scope of works.
· Provide leadership and manage the team members in a professional manner, e.g., allocation of work, providing guidelines to them in drafting to maintain the quality, improving productivity, checking drawings and cutting list profiles etc.
· To coordination between Design Team, Consultants, Main Contractor and other contractors.
· Participate in workshops and lead, review and comment of shop drawings in terms of constructability, sequencing and ensure quality of the design is maintained throughout.
· Identify additional work/variations to the Project Manager / Contract Manager for processing/approval of the variation order.
· To resolve any unforeseen interface problems throughout the various design phases.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Degree in Design, Architecture, Civil engineering or Project management
· Minimum of 8 years of experience Façade designing
· International façade experience is must Should have completed more than five façade design projects
· Has a sound knowledge of value engineering.
· Expertise in AutoCAD and at least one other 3D software from Creo, Rhino or HI CAD
Required skills:
· Design development, design management.
· Good organization, coordination and leadership skills.
· Possess good communications and people skills.
· Knowledge and skills in Revit and Rhino are advantage, at least is able to read and extract information from 3D models prepared in Revit or Rhino format.
· Minimum 8 years working experience in façade design.
