Senior Accountant (Compliance & Reporting)
Role Overview
As the Compliance Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive compliance strategies. Your role will involve ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, optimizing reporting frameworks, and fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.
Incumbents with Manufacturing or Wholesale Trade experience is ideal.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust compliance strategies aligned with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Ensure financial policies and procedures are adhered in the business process, books, and records of the company.
- Oversee and conduct audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Support, liaise and follow through both internal and external auditors, tax agents, all necessary statutory requirements & compliance.
- Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement, audits etc.
- Design and enhance reporting systems, ensuring accurate and timely submission of reports to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various business units to ensure consistent compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management, offering insights into compliance performance and recommending proactive measures.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices, adapting strategies to maintain compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competency Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accountancy.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- Good knowledge and understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (“SFRS”), Company Act, and Tax regulations, including the application of accounting concepts and treatment of transactions.
- Prior audit & tax experience especially with transfer pricing and cross border taxation will be an added advantage.
- Manufacturing experience and ERP user experience is preferred.
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively.
- Result-oriented self-starter who can frequently (and effectively) multi-task.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Great attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
- Strong communication skills, including verbal and written.
