Responsible for upholding and enhancing the quality of our elevator, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Your role is pivotal in assuring the reliability and safety of our products, collaborating with cross functional teams to address quality management processes and conducting internal audits to drive continuous improvement.
1. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure that elevator systems meet company standards ( SAIS, CPSI, Safety) and industry regulations.
2. Inspections: Coordinate with inspector for regular inspections of elevator/escalator installations and components to verify compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
3. Testing: Coordinate with inspector to perform functional and safety tests on elevator systems to identify and address any defects or issues.
4. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and any non-conformities. Generate quality reports and reports on corrective actions taken.
5. Compliance: Ensure that elevator systems adhere to all relevant safety codes and standards, such as Singapore law, SS550:2020, BCA code of accessibility, SCDF fire code and any local building codes.
6. Audit: Plan & conduct internal & external audit of company quality processes, identify areas for improvements, make corrective actions, report audit findings and track progress.
7. Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and analyze the root causes of quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
8. Vendor Quality: Collaborate with external stakeholder to establish quality requirements for elevator/escalator components and materials, and conduct supplier audits as necessary.
9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in elevator/escalator product, installation, commission & maintenance to enhance product quality and efficiency.
9. Training: Provide training to employees and contractors on quality control procedures and best practices.
10. External Interaction: Communicate with external parties such as clients, building owners, and regulatory agencies to address quality-related inquiries and concerns.
