- Engage in financial impact assessment for IFRS 17 and contribute to the enhancement, development, and testing of Prophet models and relevant systems for IFRS 17 implementation.
- Review Prophet model outcomes and modifications for IFRS 17 compliance.
- Evaluate and adjust system outputs for IFRS 17 purposes as a subject matter expert.
- Conduct end-to-end testing for IFRS 17 systems.
- Address business and regulatory compliance risks, taking appropriate mitigation steps.
- Prepare monthly new business and embedded value reports as needed and assist in the annual business planning exercise, offering detailed financial analysis and recommendations when required.
- Stay updated on industry trends and potential threats, collaborating with internal/external stakeholders to safeguard the company and proactively share best practices.
Skills and experience required
- At least 4 years of actuarial experience in the life insurance sector, with practical exposure to the Prophet system.
- Experience in project implementation and end-to-end testing is advantageous.
- Demonstrate excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Initiate and lead discussions with stakeholders effectively.
- Proficient in using actuarial software applications such as MS Excel and SQL.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication and organizational skills.
- Possess the ability to work in teams.
- Show initiative in improving current processes and adaptability to change.
