Responsibilities:
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders such as government agencies, grassroots, and community-based organizations to raise awareness of mental health
- Conduct mental health screening to identify those who are at-risk/diagnosed with mental health conditions and connect them with the right services for early diagnosis and treatment
- Provide basic emotional and cognitive support to clients with mental health issues and/or their caregivers and link them up with relevant services based on their needs
- Ensure proper maintenance of case documentation and timely submission of reports to external parties
- Manage volunteers to support outreach events and conduct activities when necessary
- Establish and support the run of a caregiver support group
Requirements:
- Degree Holder preferably with some social service experience
- Passionate to work in the mental health sector and community services
- Preferably able to converse in Malay or dialect as there is a high proportion of Malay and dialect-speaking clients
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- A team player who can also work independently
- Detail-oriented in keeping proper documentation
- This position is on a contract basis
