Job Description
Our PLSE research group in National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing (SoC). We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated research assistant to join our team and help in ongoing projects related to large language modelling. This role involves conducting advanced research and development in the field of AI and SE, with a focus on improving the robustness and effectiveness of large-scale models. The candidate will play a key role in devising innovative algorithms, conducting experiments, and contributing to the advancement of our technology and products.
The Research Assistant will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator and lab members on one or more research projects. He/she should possess experience in the following research areas:
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Programming Languages & Software Engineering
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in research projects assigned.
• Design and implement algorithms to enhance the efficiency and robustness of AI systems.
• Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products.

Requirements
• A Bachelor’s or higher degree with Honours in Computer Science or a relevant area (e.g., Math, Analytics).
• Proven experience in research of large language models and deep learning algorithms.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Ability to conduct independent research and solve problems.
• Experience in research paper writing.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with adversarial training and algorithm optimization is a plus.
