We are a supplier of quality food products and consumeables to the Cruise, Oil & Gas, Mining and Onshore/Offshore catering industries.
We are seeking to recruit a Purchasing Manager.
Requirements:
1. Minimum GCE ‘O’ or ‘N’ level
2. Relevant experience in food supply business is more advantage.
Candidates without relevant experience but who possess a positive attitude, good work ethic with willingness to learn will be considered;
3. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office;
4. Deal with local/ overseas suppliers, conversant in English and Mandarin is essential.;
5. Self-motivated with the ability to perform in demanding situations meet deadlines and multi-task;
6. Ability to work long hours when necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Have good product knowledge of food items, other materials and goods;
- sourcing for all products upon clients’ requirements; liaising with both local and overseas vendors;
- Initiate and manage procurement process by placing timely and cost-effective orders, taking consideration the specific requirement of cruise passengers
- Able to negotiate best contracts with vendors while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency
- Work within allocated budgets, striving to achieve cost savings
- Coordinate with logistics and operation teams to ensure timely delivery of food product
- Other ad-hoc task by Purchasing Director
