The Job
Mighty Jaxx is looking for a Business Intelligence Senior Specialist to drive the discovery, analysis, and reporting of operational insights to internal stakeholders. This is an individual contributor role. As our BI Senior Specialist, you will be working with various teams across the company, including sales, marketing, e-commerce, customer service and product, to plan and execute BI reporting and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust business intelligence dashboards and reports, tracking and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) across various business functions
- Work with Management to spearhead business critical data projects end-to-end, and create insightful reports
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making
- Drive business insights using data, identify purchase trends and propose recommendations for business growth
- Review day-to-day operational processes, identify areas for improvement and make actionable recommendations to relevant teams
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities
- Use automation to prepare clean, concise, easy to understand dashboards to reduce ad-hoc recurring data requests
- Monitor business critical metrics and escalate irregularities
- Maintain updated knowledge of collectibles industry trends, and market
- Act as a subject matter expert on data sources, tools, and best practices within the business intelligence field
Requirements
- Proven experience in a business intelligence or data analytics role
- Prior working experience in using SQL and BI visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, AWS Quicksight) is preferred
- Experience with data warehousing (e.g. AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery and Microsoft Azure SQL Data Warehouse) is a plus
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver tasks when required
- Data-driven, highly organised and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working independently to prioritise and execute tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box
- Exposure to Agile: weekly sprint and release working models
- Excellent communication skills - very good at communicating across teams
