Sourcing Specialist
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Sourcing Specialist you must be able to implement sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage the
assigned portfolio and associated activities. Your success is tested by your ability to maximize supplier
performance and supporting the company’s business plan for our advanced technology products.
HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED
- Must Implement plans to assure orders meet specified quality and delivery times and to minimize the
- total cost of purchases this is to ensure goods or service procured meet the requires quality standards
- and are delivered within specified timeframes which contributes to minimizes cost
- Document performance of action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing projects helps in tracking
- progress and identify areas of improvement .
- Establish supplier base in conformance with guidance from Category Managers which helps to provide
- guidance on the types of supplier needed.
- Handle requests for information, quotations, proposals, and bidding processes helps in cost analysis
- Evaluate current and potential suppliers in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams to help guide and
- fill in gaps that occur
- Negotiate with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives this ensures agreed-upon terms
- are met like cost and delivery schedules this also aids a good rapport between you and suppliers
- Execute contract negotiation and development in coordination with Sourcing Manager and Contract
- Specialists this ensures that legal and contractual aspects are aligned with the sourcing strategy
- Drive the parts and process qualification in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams this is vital in
- maintain a high standard of quality in the sourced products or service
- Work with Sourcing Manager or Sourcing Leader to guarantee supply for all portfolios.
- Establish and maintain rapport with all levels of supplier personnel and internal customers as building
- and amantaining positive relationships with both suppliers and internal customers is vital this fosters
- effective communication and collaboration throughout the sorcing process contributing to trust
- Identify opportunities and implement actions to achieve efficiencies helps in enhancing operational
- efficiency and contributes to overall organizational success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or manufacturing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to take on challenges and to learn new skills
