Job Responsibility:
- Plan, organize, supervise and liaise closely with operation team and sub-contractors on all lifting activities.
- Overall in-charge for preparing lifting and erection plan for all the Gantry Cranes.
- Prepare, develop and review Lifting plans, Method Statement, Risk Assessment and Safe Work Procedure of all subcontractor for any lifting activities.
- Conduct routine checks and inspections on work site to ensure compliance with authorities and client’s requirements.
- Daily walk about around assign areas of site and make a note of compliance and non-compliance to HSE operating procedure.
- Able to prepare and review lifting plan and coordinate site lifting supervisors, riggers and signalman, and being the focal point for all site lifting operations Perform discipline checks of the procedures and analysis.
- Read project specifications and provide feedback from an engineering perspective. Liaise with clients, and subcontractors.
- To coordinate and interface with Client/ other contractors to harmonize the onsite lifting arrangement.
- To conduct safety assessment & discussion with EHS team (safety) for any latest safety policy and implement the safety requirement when needed.
- To periodically monitor and implement any procedural changes according to the local authority / client’s requirement & regulation updates.
- To periodically monitor and execute the lifting work improvement at lifting site inclusive all facilities/tools.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years site experience to oversee the activities of the various lifting supervisors on site, completed the "appointed persons - lifting operations course" conducted by IES or equivalent course approved by the engineer.
- Possess a Bachelor Degree in relevant engineering field.
- Have relevant experience and direct involvement in assembling, traversing and operation of lifting frame and/or any other systems adopted by the Contractor, and safety assessment of heavy lifting work.
- Able to communicate well (spoken and written).
