Key accountabilities
• Evaluate patient as a basis for planning and implementing appropriate treatment programme
• Administer therapeutic interventions to alleviate impairments or functional limitations and to maximize optimal recovery
• Provide patient and family education
• Initiate discharge planning and recommend appropriate discharge therapy programme
• Maintain clear, appropriate and accurate documentation for all treatments in a timely manner
• Ensure timely scheduling and billing of patients
• Ensure a thorough and smooth handover of patients if necessary
• Build and maintain good referral relationships with physicians and other sources
• Treat all patient information as strictly confidential
• Orientate and precept new physiotherapists
• Champion quality initiatives in the department
• Provide and arrange for in-services and on the job training for appropriate staff
• Role reports to clinical team leader a Principal PT
You will provide Physiotherapy Assessment and Management and treatment to patients for optimal recovery in areas including Musculoskeletal / Orthopedics, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology and Geriatric.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy, recognised by AHPC
• At least 5 yrs experience post AHP
• Able to commit alternate Saturdays (half day)
