[What the role is]
The Cluster Development Department (CDD) enhances capabilities in the Environmental Services industry by building up their local track records, facilitating collaborations with foreign entities, creating opportunities for export by ready companies, through international platforms such as the CleanEnviro Summit Singapore.
The Department also facilitates the exchange of expertise with foreign cities in overseas projects such as the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Project, reaping economic spin offs for our enterprises.
[What you will be working on]
As the Assistant Manager of CDD, you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop capabilities of environmental services companies and relevant trade associations
- Engage foreign enterprises and foreign trade offices to boost growth of the local environmental services industry
- Establish and promote track records of Singapore-based environmental services companies for local & foreign markets, as well as in platforms like CleanEnviro Summit Singapore that the department organises
- Provide administrative and secretariat support
[What we are looking for]
- Preferably with at least 3 years of working experience in industry development work
- Good business sense of the opportunities for the environmental industry, locally as well as internationally
- Can travel overseas on short notice
- IT-savvy and strong in conceptualising as well as presenting/communicating ideas
- Able to relate well with internal as well as external partners and stakeholders
- Motivated in delivering work quickly and independently
