As an Infrastructure Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and security of our organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, implementing system upgrades, and providing support to end-users. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as applying patches, updates, and security configurations.
Conduct regular system checks and audits to identify and address potential issues proactively. - Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Respond to service requests and incidents in a timely manner, escalating complex problems to appropriate teams when necessary.
Document support procedures, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps for future reference. - Administer servers, network devices, and other IT systems, ensuring proper configuration and adherence to security policies.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with established protocols.
Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical data and minimize downtime. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure projects, such as server migrations, system upgrades, and network expansions.
Participate in planning, testing, and deployment activities to ensure successful project delivery within specified timelines and budget constraints. - Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to troubleshoot issues, procure necessary hardware/software, and negotiate service contracts.
Evaluate vendor proposals, conduct product evaluations, and recommend solutions that align with organizational requirements and objectives. - Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting and knowledge transfer.
Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles, training materials, and best practices documentation to enhance the IT support function.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure support, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and networking technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
