Instrumentation Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the deliverables are in accordance with the specifications stated in the contract and completed on schedule, group logistics is managed, and health and safety measures are adhered to prepare a programme of works which shall identify all the tasks necessary.
  • Travel island-wide to numerous remote locations daily.
  • Carry out the supervision timely according to the programme of works and reporting of the actual progress. Coordinate all matters that require collaboration between stakeholders to ensure smooth progress of the services.
  • Prepare and submit maintenance reports, checklists, documentation, and prepare the monthly works report.
  • Ensure the quality of the site services by carrying out periodic inspection of the services/works and ensuring that the Board’s instructions are carried out.
  • Assist and provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting of services done, and to provide updates on outstanding works/services, defects and observations.
  • Manage the daily geospatial deployment, optimise the services efficiently, undertake first respondent basic troubleshooting and diagnostics services, verification, ensure upkeeping of the installation, provide competent technical services, timely reporting, monitoring of equipment health and status, and any other services for the proper functioning/assurance of the system as instructed by the Board.
  • Develop competencies in the respective work groups.

Requirement:

  • Minimum three (3) or more years of relevant work experience, preferably in engineering-related fields, utilities, public sector services, or maintenance-related services.
  • Familiar with instrumentation fittings, hydraulic and fluid power components.
  • Ability to read P&ID and piping isometric drawings.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and practices.
  • Shall be able to communicate conversantly in English.
