The candidate will support sustainable finance business development efforts targeting our clients in APAC.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct research on sustainability topics, including climate risk, biodiversity, environmental and social practices in the region and internationally etc.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices, standards, trends and developments, communicating and raising awareness to internal stakeholders
- Support the team and relationship managers in origination of sustainable finance transactions
- Support the team in carrying out ESG risk evaluations from portfolio risk or new transaction perspective
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Ideally finance / sustainability related.
- Some prior working experience or research in the fields of sustainable finance, sustainability, climate change, decarbonization strategies, low-carbon transition tech, etc. is preferred
- Knowledge of banking/finance products and terminology
- Strong teamwork and collaboration qualities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate in a proactive, clear and structured manner
- Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills
- Can demonstrate critical thinking, should be resourceful and adaptable in uncertainty
- A strong team player – able to ideate and lead initiatives while supporting team members on their projects
