About the Team
The Observability team supports various core business lines within TikTok, as well as external enterprise customers through Volcano Engine. It focuses on solving big data architecture challenges for a 100+PB level data set to create an industry-leading big data infrastructure. In addition, the team provides cloud-native real-time data lake and data warehouse services to business customers through its Cloud Monitor product.
As part of the Observability team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams to build the industry-leading observability data engine & platform to reach both stability, and scalability goals and achieve a better user experience.
What you will be doing:
1. Design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructures and pipelines;
2. Design data models and extract the information and signals for observability functionalities (e.g. Service health reporting, root cause analysis);
3. Work closely with product managers to deliver industry-leading observability products;
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and software engineers, to understand data requirements and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications
What you should have:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field;
- At least 3 years in software engineering and 1 year of relevant experience in the Observability field;
- Experience in Observability technologies(metrics, tracing , logging and Alarm, page duty, root cause analysis);
- Skilled in SQL and at least one programming language of Go, Java, Scala, Python;
- Experience in performing data analysis, data ingestion, and data integration;
- Solid communication and collaboration skills.
