About the role
We are seeking an Senior/ Executive, Claims who will assist in inpatient case assignments to enable prompt issuance of approval or decline of Letter of Guarantee or Pre-authorization requests. The ideal candidate will have a mindset of continuous improvement and change and will demonstrate curiosity, collaboration and the ability to deal with ambiguity especially in a start-up environment.
This role reports directly to the Assistant Manager, Medical Case.
A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Prompt follow-up via call or email, of inpatient case assignments with Specialists, Clinics and Hospital groups for approval or decline Letter of Guarantee or pre-authorization requests.
- Prepare of Pre-Authorization cases documents for uploading into system.
- Assist in reissuance of pre-authorization certificate as needed.
- Maintain accurate case records and all related communication.
- Any other special projects and ad-hoc duties assigned when appropriate.
About you
- Fresh Diploma or Degree graduates from the field of Biosciences, Nursing or Statistics are welcomed to apply.
- Experience in Healthcare/Insurance/Third-Party Administrators industries will be advantageous.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both writing and verbally.
- Ability to handle and mediate sensitive issues calmly, empathetically and professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
