Job Summary
Responsible for all areas of housekeeping and ensure that Housekeeping employees are producing high quality standards of service.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Plan and organise team members’ work to ensure it is completed in a timely manner.
- Prioritise daily work based on operational needs.
- Assist with opening assignments for morning and turndown service and public areas.
- Maintain accurate records in Linen Inventory, Guest room supplies, cleaning supplies, Lost and Found, maintenance requests etc.
- Ensure all other public areas of the hotel are clean and assist with room cleaning when necessary. Conduct regular checks.
- Implement and follow standards and procedures as per the COMO and Leading Quality Assurance requirements in room and public areas.
- Ensure housekeeping pantry is stocked and organised per standards.
- Supervise and assist with the Turndown service of hotel.
- Handle all complaints relating to Housekeeping in a professional and courteous manner, forward any comments to the Executive Housekeeper or Duty Manager.
- Delegate maintenance tasks and conduct inspections to ensure that defective items are repaired before guest check in.
- Handle all enquiries relating to Housekeeping efficiently and promptly deal with all requests.
- Liaise with all departments on any special requirements by guests.
- Monitor and ensure all team members are trained and equipped to perform their tasks.
- Conduct all new hire and re-training when needed.
- Organise, supervise and assist with the cleaning of hotel and other housekeeping areas.
- Relate daily to your superior any problems or issues that occur, maintain open communication with Executive Housekeeper to ensure department is run at optimum levels and standards.
- Maintain and update logbook at the end of each shift.
- Maintain daily/weekly and monthly reports as needed.
- Conduct random checks with inspection sheet to ensure room attendants are consistently monitored.
