Our client is a dynamic and innovative company at the forefront of the digital transformation in the finance sector. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team and play a key role in driving digitalization initiatives.
Reporting Line : Reporting to the Head of Technology
Day To Day Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical lead for project implementations, working closely with business and functional users.
- Gather, analyze, and formalize user business requirements and processes.
- Lead project activities, including system unit and integration tests, as well as user acceptance tests.
- Assess and evaluate the technical viability and feasibility of potential technology solutions and system improvements.
- Perform detailed process and system gap analysis (As Is and To Be).
- Provide application and system architecture design and interfaces for IT solutions.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Conduct application, system, or code assessments/reviews to address technical issues affecting system functionality, performance, or security.
- Provide maintenance support, analysis, and resolution of production system reliability and performance issues for business applications and data platforms.
- Work closely with business and functional users to build digital excellence.
- Support functional expertise areas, including financial trade processing, trade confirmation & settlement, cash & position reconciliation, corporate risk analytics, financial accounting, and business reporting.
- Manage and collaborate with external technology consultants and service providers to ensure efficient and robust operation of IT business applications.
- Prepare and support the handover transition from project to IT operation teams.
- Participate in and conduct feasibility studies.
- Produce high-level and detailed applications design.
- Assist in preparing business cases and oversee the development and implementation of solutions, considering the implications of change.
Knowledge/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience in the financial institution sector.
- University degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant IT certifications.
- Strong experience in project initialization, execution, with a focus on system analysis, architecture design, integration, and application testing.
- Good documentation discipline for business requirements, application & system design, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with SDLC or iterative software development approaches.
Advantageous Experiences/Knowledge:
- Transaction-based systems in structured loans, fixed income, derivatives, warrants, convertibles, SWIFT, etc.
- AWS Cloud computing technology: AWS EC2, SAM, S3, Redshift, Glue, Crawler, Athena, and Rstudio.
- Software development, application/data interface, data exchange, database, analytics & BI reporting skills: Microsoft .NET Framework, Sharepoint, VBScripts, API or WEB services (REST), SQL Queries, ODBC, XML/JSON, Tableau/Qlik/Power BI.
