Graduate Engineer Training

Job Description:

1. Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to assist Engineers in planning of maintenance activity in rolling mill.
2. Maintenance of rotating and static equipment,
3. Carry out documentation of maintenance activity in accordance with ISO standards,
4. Maintain list of spare parts and creation of item codes for new spares,
5. Familiarisation of balancing of rotating equipment,
6. Familiarisation of alignment and installation of equipment,
7. Familiarisation with Auxiliary equipment such as hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication system.
8. Carrying out equipment inspection and recording critical maintenance activities in Computerised Maintenance Management System.
9. Understand the hazard in the maintenance operation and assist Engineer in developing Safe work procedure and Task risk assessment.
10. Be an active contributor to department’s Safety initiative.
11. Create simple part drawings for local spare fabrications.

Job Requirements

• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Conversant in Autocad
• Awareness on mechanical fits and tolerances
• Ability to ready piping and instrument drawings
• Carry out simple calculation for flow, pressure, load and forces on rotating and static equipment
• Willing to be on shopfloor to learn about equipment during maintenance activities
