Our client, a leading player in the commodities industry, is seeking a talented KYC Onboarding Analyst to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity, covering a 6-month period where you’ll join a well-established firm and their compliance team, focusing on the Asian market.
The Role
As a KYC Onboarding Analyst, you’ll assist with various tasks related to compliance in Asia, including data entry, updating records, and performing checks for KYC and AML. This involves managing internal onboarding, conducting client screenings, and reviewing reports for any changes.
- Assist in all aspects of work for Asia Compliance.
- Assist with Counterparty data entry.
- Ensure the maintenance and regular update of relevant records on internal systems.
- Perform KYC AML checks/onboarding enquiries for service providers/vendors/non trading banks etc.
- Assist with management of internal onboarding by determining the level of documentation and information required during onboarding.
- Assist with ongoing client screening and periodical reviews by monitoring and reviewing daily reports.
- Analyze different jurisdictions in both a regulated and unregulated environment, including “high risk” jurisdictions with focus on UN, US and EU sanctions
- Support vessel tracking for cargoes in sanctioned jurisdictions, maintaining detailed records of vessels, their movements, load and discharge ports, terminals, and permissible jurisdictions for such products.
Requirement
- University degree or international equivalent, with a focus in a finance or legal.
- Experience in KYC Onboarding and familiar with KYC risk intelligence screening applications.
- High attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong command of Chinese language is required to deal with Chinese counterparts and documentation.
