Duties / Scope of Work
- Consultative selling resulting in providing strategic solutions for customers
- Developing business both domestically and internationally
- Research, develop and present a market strategy
- Develop prospect profiles and thoroughly qualify prospects with a focus on targets whom will most benefit from service offering
- Identify prospect needs, goals, and objectives
- Participate in related industry groups and affiliations
- Produce results commensurate with goals and market potential
- Travel as needed, domestically and internationally, to meet with potential and existing customers; participate in face-to-face sales calls/meetings and negotiation process
- Monitor and ensure that customers make prompt payment. All discrepancies to be resolved or rectified promptly.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of brokerage operations and geographic freight markets is required.
- Prior demonstration of negotiation skills is preferred
- Existing customer and/or carrier base is a plus. Or any other related experience is a plus too.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to work with others along with working independently.
- Detail-oriented and able meet scheduled deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task in completing scheduled activities along with additional activities.
- Ability to manage communication in a positive manner.
- Punctuality and a good work ethic are critical.
- Ability to take a significant role in the SAP and SOP creation process.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) required.
