Job Scope
Outbound Shipments
a. Tracking of all outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate shipment execution and delivery.
b. Planning, co-ordinating and scheduling of export shipments to meet the stipulated timeline given
c. Maximize freight and related costs through scheduling and consolidation of export shipments
Inbound shipments
a. Ensure prompt and efficient delivery of goods to internal and external customers
b. Process all Incoming Shipments
c. Prepare Shipment proper in GTS for transmission to Tradenet.
d. Ensure Permit declared is in accordance to the Singapore Customs regulations
e. Ensure all returns (inter-company & Export Wholesalers) are process on a timely basis.
f. Update and complete inbound shipment database daily, maintaining same on a weekly basis ensuring all details are completed.
g. Obtain or provide information to customers, airline/shipping lines and government agencies as required.
CITES Management
a. Plan and review buffer stock levels of re-export cites to regional markets
b. Improve cites recording and documentation flow
c. Maintain balance between buffer level and cost
d. Accounting of CITES purchases, issues and balances at the end of each month.
ATA Carnet Management
a. Application of ATA Carnet
b. Monitor all ATA Carnets for renewal and return status
c. Liase with Chamber of Commerce to resolve discrepancies and irregularities
d. Check and ensure ATA Carnets are correctly completed by customs
e. Ensure compliance to regional guidelines for ATA Carnet handcarry
Management of Forwarding Agents
a. Evaluate and review the performance and service of the forwarding agents
b. Assist in the sourcing, assessment and selection of forwarding agents
Security and Insurance
a. Arrange CIT for local and overseas transfer/shipment according to Transit Limits set by Group
b. Management of Claims Database
c. Provide monthly update of outstanding claims
d. Co-ordinate with service providers to organize the secured transportation for Brands events and photoshoots
Monthly Reports
a. Export shipment reports
b. Lead-time performance reports
c. CITES purchase and usage reports
Staff Management
a. Identify staff training and development needs (internal & external training)
b. Team build, lead and motivate staff
c. Staff management and assessment (including recruitment, appraisal and development)
Job Requirements
• Min. Diploma in Logistics or related fields
• Knowledge and experience freight forwarding (air freight)
• Strong PC skills, expertise with Windows, MS Office. Knowledge in Tradenet and SAP is an advantage
