The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Associate on an 18-month part-time contract at the National Institute of Education/ Psychology and Child & Human Development Academic Group.
Project Title: The role of parents in children’s social development
Project Introduction: This is a research project that involves observation on parent-child interactions in a naturalistic setting.
Requirements:
- A master’s degree with a specialization in psychology or a related field.
- Good knowledge of child development theories. Prior experience working in a research setting involving families and children is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; being able to be an effective liaison person for contacting families, and to lead and train a team of student assistants in fieldwork and data collection.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out participant recruitment for the project.
- Manage the data collection schedule for the research team.
- Participate in the training of student research assistants.
- Carry out fieldwork, data coding, and analysis.
- Participate in manuscript preparation and dissemination of study findings.
- Other responsibilities related to project management.
