This position requires for the individual to take charge of planning and coordinating engineering initiatives to ensure that the project assigned is completed within budget and schedule.
The individual will be on commercial projects within our core markets: Advanced Technology, Life Sciences, Commercial, Healthcare, and Higher Education. He/she will work closely with all members of the project team and will be responsible for the following:
Key Role Statement:
· Leading the design review and construction of the Electrical and ELV Equipment installation for a large Project (min s$30m)
· Assisting Facilities Coordinator with space management and co-ordination of systems.
· On site responsibility for all Electrical and ELV packages, installation performance, schedule, safety and commissioning.
· Responsible for coordinating field supervisors and QA engineer in relation to tasks and activities related to Electrical and ELV Works.
· Review of all submittals from sub contractors co-ordinate issuing to designer and client representatives
· Responsible For the generation, population upkeep and timely turnover of the respective Electrical and ELV Construction Completion Dossiers.
· Responsible for the approving of the approving of respective method statement, sub contractor submittals, shop drawings and the like, necessary for the completion of the project.
· Responsible for liaising with Client counterparts with respect to obtaining Client approvals where necessary.
· As with the other lead discipline engineers, it is the responsibility of the Electrical/ELV engineering lead to ensure that all facets of the design conforms to codes and utility company requirements.
Deliverables:
· Production of tender packages.
· Conducting tender review interviews defining any scope gaps and applying risk factors as required
· Production of tender recommendation report for Client.
· Production of detailed estimate for Client review.
· Conducting weekly progress meetings with sub-contractors.
· Peer review of DPR project procedures.
· Pre Commissioning and Commission of Electrical ELV packages
WORK EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
· Min 10 years experience in testing and commissioning cleanroom projects
· Must be a self starter that can control and motivate contractors to complete on time and control on site quality with the minimum of defects.
· Must have completed complex projects with large BMS/EMS Systems that have been qualified to meet current GMP requirements.
