KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supervise and lead the Technicians in their daily tasks and projects.
- Set up schedules and assign tasks to technicians based on their skill levels, experience, and availability, while ensuring a fair distribution of workload.
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager to understand project requirements and allocate resources effectively.
- Ensure that technicians follow engineering guidelines and safety protocols.
- Monitor the progress of engineering projects and address or escalate any delays or issues promptly.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians to overcome challenges.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to set team goals and performance targets.
- Improve day-to-day operations and achieve departmental objectives based on data-driven decisions.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Train and onboard new technicians, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their roles and adhere to all WSH and QA standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain accurate records of project developments and technician performance.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain, to coordinate delivery to fulfill all assigned tasks.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a team leader or supervisor in an engineering or construction setting.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong technical knowledge in engineering principles.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in the construction industry will be an added advantage.
