Are you a motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for retail management in a Plant Nursery?


We are seeking an experienced Assistant Retail Store Manager to join our dynamic team.


As the Assistant Retail Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. You will contribute to the overall success of the store by ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient operations, and a positive work environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and training.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach by providing excellent service and resolving customer inquiries or complaints.
  • Monitor and optimize store performance, including sales targets, inventory management, and cost control measures.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to drive sales and meet financial goals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to store staff.
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are met to enhance the overall store appearance.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma or equivalent with 3 year’s relevant experience in a retail management role, preferably as an Assistant Store Manager or similar position.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, sales tracking and inventory management
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising techniques and the ability to create appealing product displays an added advantage
  • Familiarity with industry trends and a passion for staying up to date with the latest retail innovations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
