Join our Finance Team to drive financial excellence by providing accurate and timely financial information, optimizing resources and safeguarding of company assets for the benefit of its stakeholders. This would also include being a trusted partner in the organisation by inspiring financial integrity and transparency. This position is responsible for the overseeing of the smooth running of operations of the finance functions which includes the daily finance operations, strategy, assessing the financial performance of CCSS and possible risks.
Job Description:
Operations
- Oversee the process of the day to day finance functions, monthly and yearly closing of financial accounts.
- Ensure that accruals and prepayments are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
- Review and post journal entries in Navison Accounting System.
- Ensure proper allocation of income and expenses to the respective centres in Navision.
- Review monthly bank reconciliation statements, intercompany accounts, fund balances, accrual/ prepayment/ amortisation schedules.
- Maintain the chart of accounts, cost center and internal order master tables in Navision system.
- Provide guidance and advice on accounting related matters.
- Monitor and forecast cash flow.
- Review and enhance internal policies and procedures to ensure that they are updated and relevant to the current business environment.
- Liaise with external parties such as auditors and banks.
- Supervise and provide guidance to accounting staff.
- Ensure that payments are in compliance with internal policies and controls.
Accounts Payable Functions
- Oversee the process of all disbursements to Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs), payments to external vendors, staff claims and reimbursement processes.
Audits
- Attend to auditor’s queries and requests for information.
- Oversee the preparation process of annual audit schedules and financial statements.
Management Reporting
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly financial and management reports (i.e. Income & Expenditure, Balance Sheet, Fund Balance) and submission to Executive Directors, including presentation in the Board Meetings.
- Analyse and report significant variances against budget.
- Review and update expense allocation methodologies.
Budgeting
- Assist the Executive Director to prepare annual budget.
Ad Hoc
- Perform other duties assigned by Executive Director.
