The new interdisciplinary school, School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB), formed by integrating the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE) from College of Engineering and the Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry (CBC) from College of Science, is seeking a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to equality of opportunity and invites applicants to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.
We welcome applicants with expertise in the areas of current interests related, but not limited to experimental chemical biology. We seek individuals with strong research background and a proven track record in the fields related to chemical biology, bio-organic synthesis, bio-inorganic chemistry, natural products chemistry, medicinal chemistry, proteomics bio-analysis or related expertise in the design of novel drugs, chemical probes, or orthogonal labeling methods for cutting-edge biological investigations.
Successful candidates are expected to actively contribute to the specific focus area of school, capable of developing innovative, internationally visible and extramurally funded research programs. We are also seeking candidates with outstanding capacity to teach the related topics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including mentoring and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students. Some school and university services will be expected to the successful candidates too.
Emoluments
The commencing salary will depend on the candidates' qualifications, experience, and the level of appointment offered.
