Responsibilities
- Support supervisor to develop the freight forwarding airfreight products, with collaborations with other departments like Sales, Marketing, etc.
- Support supervisor to plan daily shipment movement according to various requirements.
- Negotiate with airline or vendor for charges incurred and follow margin guideline to propose sell rate.
- Ensure Billing from airline are accurate and no error.
- Act as a subject matter expert and advisor regarding airfreight and participate in business tenders related to customs and trade compliance.
- Implement corrective actions directed by supervisor/management in response to any findings in the audits.
- Ensure work processes stay relevant to the current operating arena and customer expectations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management.
Requirements
- Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree of any discipline, preferably in Logistics & Supply Chain/Business Administration.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in airfreight or related field.
- Possess working knowledge on IATA regulations, with DG knowledge being advantageous. Any Customs & Trade Control related certifications is a good to have.
- Demonstrate good airfreight flight planning skills to work directly with airlines, terminals and internal partners.
- Excellent communication skills to work with various levels of management and operational teams across the business.
- Self-driven individual who is able to work independently and within a team.
- Willing to work shift hours if needed
