Job Description Summary

The Commercial & Enablement Director is responsible for optimizing our client-led product offering and positioning, focus funds oversight, sales campaign management and end-to-end value proposition connectivity. The candidate is responsible for curating impactful, thought provoking, visually-engaging content, presentations and high-quality collaterals for abrdn’s fund products predominantly in HK / SG. This commercial role is essential to our ambition to gain significant market share in the region.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead in collaboration with Investment teams to develop key narratives for focused funds and localising the messaging to successfully position products with professional & retail investors.
  • Develop strategies partnering Product and drive key content messaging to generate commercial opportunities by extracting the key differentiating features / key messages of an investment strategy
  • Rally and influence Client Group, Products, Marketing and the Investment teams indesigning and delivering high quality product collaterals
  • Apply an investor-centric lens and translate difficult/complex investment concepts into practical application content and drive key messaging by having a strong knowledge of core products and investment capabilities including equities, fixed income, private markets and multi asset as well as sustainable capabilities
  • Management and maintenance of the product collateral production pipeline

Qualifications/Experience/Skills

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • At least 10 years investment, product management or product marketing experience within an investment management organization
  • A deep understanding of the asset management industry in APAC (i.e. investment asset classes, markets and products/solutions), distribution channels (Wholesale/Institutional) and client needs
  • Demonstrable experience working closely with sales, product, marketing and investment teams
  • Strong background in delivering high quality product collateral such as pitch books, flyers, presentations, articles, interviews, infographics, and webpages
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Strong ability to plan effectively, rally and influence constituents and take initiative
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and can work independently
  • Strong team ethos, with an ability to work in both a supporting and leading role
  • Strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and an intellectual curiosity
  • High level of personal integrity, regard for our clients and respect for colleagues
