Data Engineering Lead

Job Purpose

We have a data engineering lead regional opportunity available for an experienced candidate in the Greater China & Intercontinental Commercial Medical Digital & Tech Team.

Reporting into the Region Digital and Technology Manager, you will be tasked to support mostly data projects, operations and initiatives at the region level across 9 countries.

Responsibilities

Regional Data Projects and initiatives

  • To oversee data projects, operations and initiatives in the GCI region in both Commercial and Medical areas
  • To be able to support and partner in country data operations and engineering leads, specifically China, Japan & Canada
  • Able to oversee analytics operations in the region in alignment with global data operations/engineering teams
  • Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting, able to build/contribute to building systems to efficiently ingest and transform data into meaningful insights
  • Able to lead/participate technical discussion forums with global, regional and country counterparts
  • Vendor management, measure, improve and control for any existing/ new strategic partners support all data work
  • Oversee region data security and compliance

Stakeholder management

  • Ability to manage relationships with Technology heads from each GCI countries, including business and commercial teams and global support teams
  • To partner and ensure success of all country technology heads and their teams
  • Maintain high level of customer service with business and commercial leads

Qualification

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Min bachelor degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Min 10 years of data management experience in technology role
  • Min 8 years of experience in stakeholder’s engagement and management skills across all cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated planning ability and strong organizational and executional skills, especially clear ownership of task at hand
  • Clear and influential communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional team player
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, objective and solution oriented.
  • Demonstrated professional and ethical behaviour.
  • Proven data tools build capability (MSFT Power Platform)
  • Knowledge in commercial operations/excellence, field force effectiveness
  • Knowledge of AI/ML, Gen AI
