Job Description:
- To provide cost and retail prices and further information to our service department
- Attending to our Customer Service Advisors (CSA) and technicians' enquires and requests for spare parts over the counter.
- To raise parts ordering request forms for customers’ cars as requested by service CSA and technicians via our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- To request permission from Manager, Workshop to increase the stocking level of certain spare parts based on stock movement
- Identifying and ensuring correct parts are issued out to our technicians for repair works at our workshop as well as ensuring all parts issued out are properly documented and invoiced via our ERP software
- Keeping records of all ordered / special ordered parts and ensuring parts ordered are properly and timely issued to the requestor
- Staying in contact with our Service and Body/Paint Shop personnel for spare parts ordering and delivery dates
- Update/inform CSA, and Workshop Controller when specially ordered spare parts have arrived
- To identify and update records on returned spare parts that have already been charged out and to check that the returned spare parts are in good condition for future sales/usage
- Managing our vendors, maintaining good relationships, and ensuring that the prices quoted are competitive
- Ensure supply chain reliability by proactively searching for new vendors
- Handle spare parts procurements in a timely manner by liaising with the supply chain team
- Manage the spare parts store, ensuring that spare parts are stored in their correct location, etc
- Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of spare parts stores and the surrounding areas
- To carry out other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management
Requirements:
- Minimum NITEC/Diploma in any field of studies
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the motor industry
- Must be knowledgeable in motor vehicle spare parts
- Proactive and strong team player with initiative
- Experienced in supporting workshop operations and customers
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
