What's the role?
At Zespri we are continuing our journey to ensure the consumer is at the heart of all we do. The Data Analyst reflects this vision, as well as the reflection of the growing strategic importance of analytics in predicting consumer and shopper behaviour.
The accountabilities include:
- consolidate, manage and translate Zespri’s existing data into business insights and identify potential opportunities to maximise revenue and value
- capture, use and analyse large datasets of our consumers/shoppers in our key markets that inform strategic planning
- perform data analysis or build advance analytics/AI models to address business challenges, providing conclusions and advice
- have active participation in stakeholder meetings to understand business problems and gather requirements for analytics and reporting
- support in planning and executing market research projects to support the team’s priorities and ambitions
- design, create intuitive data visualizations using Power BI dashboards to create better insights for different stakeholders (Marketing & sales teams)
Who are you?
We are looking for an individual who has proven experience in market research with strong written and verbal communication skill.
The ability to thrive in a dynamic, changeable environment will be a key to success in this role and the successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree majoring in statistics, mathematics, computing, business analytics or related fields. Having a Master’s degree is desired
- A minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in analytics / big data analysis
- Open to learning various facets of market research tools and techniques
- Excellent analytical skills, independent thinking, data oriented, and knowledge of analytics tools required (Python, or R) and visualization tools (Power BI)
- Experience in market research tools is a plus
- Results and detail oriented, a good team player with good interpersonal skills
- Fluent communication in English
- Possess strong written and verbal communication and data visualization skills to interact effectively with both non-technical and technical users at all levels of the organization
- Quick learner and understands data’s commercial implications
- Proactive to learn and has a growth mindset
- Ability to influence stakeholders
