You will assist and provide support to the Deputy Director in the management processes of the department, which includes departmental goal setting, business planning, capital budgeting, strategic initiatives, feedback and learning.
General job duties:
• Supervise the Main Library and Off-site Services
• Assist in establishing and implementing proper control procedures in the section and integrate it into the hospital system plan
• Assist in reviewing, establishing and implementing health information management systems in various aspects of records management
• Assist in the planning and preparation of annual budget
• Assist in the interview of prospective employees, in staff welfare activities, in the deployment of staff and in the maintenance of staff discipline
• Provide orientation and in-service education/training to staff
• Ensure provision of complete medical records for patient outpatient visits and coordinate the transportation of medical records
• Coordinate the tracing and despatching of inactive medical records from HIMS Record Library to off-site for storage
• Coordinate the receiving of inactive medical records recalled from off-site storage.
• Assist to manage the inventory of inactive medical records stored off-site
• Implement and maintain specific procedures to ensure that records systems are managed efficiently
• Ensure the confidentiality of medical is maintained at all times
• Ensure the proper archival of records
• Coordinate provision of medical records for research
• Participate in quality service programmes and activities
Job Requirements
• Degree in Health Information Management or any discipline, with 2 to 4 years of experience in administration and staff management
• You are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
