We are looking for a hands-on Site Engineer with experience in managing different aspects of a construction project, including schedule & resource planning, cost maximization, project documentation, HSEQ compliance and vendor management; and who holds a passion for working outdoors.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with clients on project work schedule and activities, plan detailed instructions on daily project activities, and monitor progress to ensure activities are executed as per project specifications. Leading a team of site crew, you will be responsible for ensuring good QA/QC standards on site and understanding the geotechnical aspects of the project e.g. Soil Condition, CPT etc so as to identify risk to project and to take steps for risk mitigation.
To be successful as a Site Engineer, you should demonstrate strong analytical thinking and be able to have prompt, open and direct communications with site personnel to achieve project expectations including safety and quality standards. Outstanding candidates should display accountability, commitment, proactiveness and have a keen sense of cost consciousness to maximize value for the Company.

A day in the life of Site Engineer
- Contributing technical expertise to project drawings/designs/operating parameter and overseeing construction engineering processes
- Plan detailed instructions (with updated engineering drawings) on daily project activities, and monitor progress to ensure activities are executed as per project specifications.
- Assist in project cost control in line with the project budget (e.g. ensuring value-based procurement practices, optimum machine utilisation and usage of spares and scrap process compliance)
- Understand the geotechnical aspects of the project e.g. Soil Condition, CPT etc, so as to identify risk to project and to take steps to mitigate.
- Ensure all project documentation (progress reports, progress claims, daily reports, site diary, QA/QC report etc.) are submitted and follow up to ensure collection of approved documents in a timely manner.
- Performing cost calculations and preparing financial projections, to submit accurate Project Finance Reports and work related reports in a timely fashion.
- Responsible to implement global QA/QC program and initiatives to ensure the QA/QC compliance in execution of projects. .
- Responsible to implement global HSEQ programs and initiatives to ensure HSEQ compliance in execution of projects. Performing regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with project/athorities regulations.
- Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project manager. Liaising between clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
You will need:
- Professional Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- At least 1 year of relevant working experience in ground improvement
- A valid Supervise Construction Work for WSH certificate will be preferable
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power-point), Ms Project, AutoCAD
