Our client, a top global trading firm, is looking for a Finance Analyst to join the regional team in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities:
- Vigilantly managing income statement and balance sheet accounting, with meticulous attention to control and integrity.
- Executing the month-end close process for APAC entities.
- Conducting thorough analysis of trial balances and ledger accounts, incorporating variance and trend analysis alongside insightful commentaries.
- Coordinating with external service providers to ensure the timely and quality delivery of tasks and reports.
- Facilitating communication with external auditors for both annual and interim audits, as well as preparing statutory financial statements under sFRS and Indian GAAP.
- Handling the accounting and reconciliation of GST and other tax liabilities.
- Leveraging Kyriba to optimize and execute treasury operations.
- Fulfilling Accounts Payable functions for APAC, and providing AP cover for other regions as needed.
Job Requirements:
- A solid 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Python coding with an eagerness to further refine coding skills (Python and GO).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL.
- Commitment to ongoing studies or partial qualification in accounting (ACCA, ACA).
- Demonstrated academic excellence, including a degree from a leading university showcasing analytical thinking and technological proficiency.
- Fundamental grasp of accounting concepts (IFRS/sFRS).
- Inclination towards challenging and refining processes, with a keen eye for automation opportunities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on maintaining control.
- Exceptional work ethic, capable of thriving in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
