AWARE, Singapore's leading gender equality advocacy group, is hiring a communications executive to join our Advocacy, Research, and Communications (ARC) team. In this role, you'll play a key role in writing compelling stories and engaging content that inspires action and drives donations through social media and fundraising channels. You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, work on impactful projects, and contribute to AWARE's success.
What you’ll do:
- Together with the senior communications manager, you will help execute a strategic social media plan aligned with fundraising goals and brand guidelines
- You will help create engaging and informative content for various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), including designing posts, writing stories, and creating videos
- You will be responsible for monitoring and analysing social media performance, adjusting strategies as needed, and reporting on results
- You will also manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and questions in a timely and professional manner
- You will support AWARE’s fundraising efforts by writing persuasive and action-oriented copy for our social media, email campaigns, newsletters, and direct mail pieces
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with other communication tasks as needed, such as event promotion, press releases, and internal communications
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in social media and fundraising communications
- Collaborate effectively with other teams to achieve shared goals
Are you the one we're looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field (preferred)
- 2-5 years of experience in social media management and/or content writing (including fundraising)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices
- Creativity, initiative, and the ability to work independently
- Strong belief in gender equality and the values of AWARE
