The Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineer, QA & Testing, you will play a critical role in making the internal state of the bank's application and infrastructure services visible to stakeholders for troubleshooting, performance analysis, capacity planning, and reporting. You will develop the QA and testing automation for the bank’s central monitoring and observability platform and tooling that will enable product owners, developers, and operators to efficiently trace performance problems to their source and map their application performance to business objectives. You will lead the test standardization and automation of the central observability platform delivery:
· Test Engineer will be the primary working with test lead for testing of the product requirements.
· Should be able identify manual activities that are candidates for automation.
· Develop and document test plan
· Develop testing scenarios and framework to meet the testing mandate.
· Author and maintain Test Management Plan documentation
· UI & Backend testing experience
· Must be able to build hybrid frameworks where possible
· Candidate is responsible for precise test execution and validation of test results.
· Must work closely with manual testers and developers to understand project requirement and plan testing automation activities.
· Candidate will work under minimal supervision to carry out procedures and execute testing to ensure that the platform meets product and services requirements.
· Will be responsible for maintaining and improving automaton metrics and published periodic reports on ROI
· Should be able to support Functional Testing using Manual & Automation Approach
Strategy
· Awareness and understanding of the TTO’25 business strategy and model appropriate to the role. Support and the enablement of the Central Monitoring & Observability strategy, goals and objectives by enabling testing automation of Central Monitoring & Observability Platform for delivering value to the Catalyst and Tech Simplification programmes.
Business
The Monitoring & Observability Platform team is a global team ensuring the design, development, delivery & support of the bank’s central monitoring and observability services for all TTO teams (technology domains).
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of in one or more of the platform technologies (Elastic Observability, Grafana Observability or ITRS Geneos) and its other required capabilities, such as Kafka messaging, database management, integrating advanced technological tools and techniques, and overseeing large-scale enterprise-level implementations, including QA and testing capabilities:
· Managing regression packs and maintaining automation suits
· Must be comfortable with Cucumber and Genie frame works and Jenkins
· Automation estimation tools exposure
· Must be able to work across different flavours of data bases such as Terra data, Hadoop etc
· Must have good SQL knowledge and exposure to automation of data testing
· Experience of working with CD/CI pipeline will be desirable

As a Senior Engineer, QA & Testing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our applications and platform, thereby enabling our organization to deliver exceptional services to our internal stakeholders. Adhering to the Enterprise SDLC (eSDLC) framework and guidelines is critical for success:
· Senior Engineer, QA & Testing will be responsible to ensure that the organization defined testing standards are adhered to with respect to eSDLC and TDA processes. He/she is also responsible for ensuring that the testing approach and execution process is in compliance with audit requirements.
· Conduct RCA for production defects/Incidences, and enhance test coverage accordingly
· Must be capable of strategizing, planning and identifying test scenarios for automation
· Must ensure end to end coverage of test cases and the execution of the same
· Should execute test cases and establish traceability as per org standards
· Candidate should be able to drive calls and run defect triage meetings to analyse the root cause
· Should have the capability to analyse test metrics and prepare effective reports to showcase the ROI to the management
· Must have worked in agile methodology

Risk Management
· The ability to interpret the Group’s technical and security (ICS) control requirements and information to identify potential risks and key issues based on this information and implement appropriate controls and measures to mitigate or minimize risk to the Central Monitoring & Observability platform delivery.
· It is a very important responsibility of the Senior Engineer, QA & Testing to identify and foresee any Risks that may inhibit his/her day-to-day activities thereby causing impact to delivery. Candidate must have the potential to foresee such risks, come up with mitigation plan and clearly put forward to the management
Governance
· Awareness and understanding of the eSDLC framework, in which the TTO software delivery operates, and the requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
· Responsible for adhering to the effectiveness of the central monitoring and observability platform deliver governance, based on oversight and controls of the eSDLC framework.

Our Ideal Candidate
· 6+ years of IT experience
· Training: Agile Delivery, DevOps, Test Automation
· Certifications: Any, such as selenium certification, cucumber certification, ISTQB foundation level automation tester, certified agile software test professional (CASTP), certified software test automation specialist (CSTAS)
· Education: Degree
