This role will work closely with corporate real estate professionals – planners, strategists, designers, engineers, project managers and key stakeholders to help deliver solutions that work exceptionally.
About The Role
- Represent the Estates Engineering team in capital projects.
- Provide engineering guidance and support for all building services and capital projects.
- Review designs and submittals from consultants and contractors e.g. Material and equipment submissions, design calculations for system capacity sizing, construction layout drawings, testing & commissioning method of statements etc.
- Ensure all projects meet Dyson building services minimum standards specification (MSS); established international and country specific codes, standards and regulatory requirements; best-known methods; and conform to approved construction drawings
- Ensure that projects are delivered in time and on budget.
- Work closely with Dyson key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered according to their specifications and requirements. Interrogate feasibility and value of project requests.
- Participate and contribute in continuous improvement programs and update established MSS documentation as needed.
- Be the subject matter expert for infrastructure improvements and refurbishments in line with business commitments and sustainability targets.
About You (Essential)
- Facilities/Real estate experience in Building Services/M&E Engineering is a must.
- Electrical Engineering or related Building Services Engineering Degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience with strong Electrical Engineering background in Building M&E systems.
- Must have working experience and good knowledge of Electrical HV/LV systems e.g. Gensets, Transformers, Switchgears, UPS, Lighting etc. Must be conversant with regulatory codes and standards.
- Experience with other engineering disciplines such as ACMV, Hydraulics, CDA, BMS, Fire Protection, Sustainability, Acoustics & Process Utilities systems.
- Experience with Office, Labs and Manufacturing facilities.
- Proficient working in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and internet platforms.
- Highly organised and efficient.
- Ability to work with people at different levels. High EQ and interest in meeting people of different levels.
- Strong team player and able to work independently.
- Proactive, diligent, committed and resourceful.
- Strong and Good in both oral and written communication skills.
