The School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) invites applications for the position of Research Associate.
The Research Associate will be responsible for the investigation on multi-user coding for 6G mMTC communications, including the design of multi-user LDPC codes, optimization of message-passing multi-user detection, innovation of Turbo receiver for MU-LDPC and MP-MUD, computer simulations, and system performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the multi-user communication systems (e.g., sparse code multiple access systems).
- Design high-performance multi-user codes (e.g., LDPC/Polar codes).
- Devise high-reliability multi-user Turbo receivers (e.g., message-passing algorithm).
- Conceive novel design strategies, factor graph, and theoretical-analysis tools.
- Work closely with PI and team members to ensure the timely and efficient completion for project milestones.
- Keep track of technology trends.
Job Requirements:
- Master degree or above in Communication Engineering or related field from a reputable university.
- Experience in coded modulations.
- Research-associate experience is preferred.
- Experience in publishing papers related to coding and detection.
- Good understanding and ability in information theory, channel coding, and multi-user communications.
- Knowledge of error-correction codes and message-passing algorithms.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.
- Research independence with a team working spirit.
- Fluent verbal and written communications in English.
- Experiences in programming software (e.g., MATLAB, C, and C++).
