Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
-Reporting to the Assistant Banquet Operation Manager, you are to ensure banquet operations are run smoothly and efficiently. This includes anticipating, acknowledge and respond promptly to guest’s request.
-Set up function venue according to event orders and ensure sufficient furniture and equipment are available.
-To be able to establish and set standardised set up but not limiting to customise setup require by organiser.
-Requisite for manpower, stocks, food & beverages and ensure sufficient supplies for all functions.
-Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure high level of service are rendered to guests, and ensure quality food is served promptly.
-Keep track and conduct inventory check on all the beverage stock balance and other operating equipment.
-Supervise and train banquet casual labours in carrying out their duties and ensure proper grooming guidelines are adhered to.
-Check, record all movement of the laundry and update the stock balance of linen.
-Perform any other duties as and when assigned by your manager
In the absent of assistant banquet manager, takes over all operation (including setup) and running of events.
-Ensure banquet stores, kitchen and function cleanliness after each event. Rectify any wear and tear by informing administrative and banquet executive.
-Rectify service short-coming, problems and provide a viable solution to prevent and solve it.
-To conduct safety brief for events. *Training for safety brief will be provided.
-Know basic computer skills (Microsoft excel, word, PowerPoint)
-Stand in in the absent of head of banquet.
-To perform any other duties as assigned by head of banquet.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
-At least Diploma in Hotel Management or work related experience in service line.
-Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
-Average if candidates WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
-Candidate will be send for HACCP and must passed the course.
-Entry level for report writing.
-Team player with pleasant personality and service oriented.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-Strong ability to multi-task, results-oriented, independent, creative and resourceful.
-Able to perform shift work including weekends and public holidays.
