The Maintenance Technician will analyze production results to increase efficiency while maintaining quality for short term containment and long-term resolutions. He/she will demonstrate skill in managing projects to completion on time and within budget, as well as completing mechanical work to implement those projects.
In accomplishing the work of this position, the Maintenance Technician must be able to read and understand electrical schematics, blue prints, flow diagrams, technical specifications, and equipment manuals to assist in the design and build of manufacturing processing equipment. Proficiency with hand and power tools, and other manufacturing tools is a requirement.

Job Description:
- Maintain, repair and troubleshoot all plant equipment
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance. Participate in 5S and TPM teams. • Assist in developing new equipment or plant expansion projects
- Contact, direct and promote the safety of contractors to perform specific inspections or maintenance work • Maintain accurate and up to date maintenance records.
- Work safely around and appropriately handles hazardous chemicals around plant.
- Perform mechanical PM & CM of Plant engineering Utilities, Facilities & Manufacturing equipment's in a timely and effective manner to ensure its safe & reliability of proper cleaning, lubrication and prevent mishandling.
- Operate & maintain system such as generation and distribution of steam boiler, water treatment, HVAC, air-compressor, chemical & gas system, fire alarm and fire protection system.
- Assist in spare part management.
- Maintain an effective communication between shift to ensure smooth transition of work.
- Process Permit-to-Work, Job safety Analysis (JSA), Lock-out, Tag-out (LOTO) or execute the Defeat of Safety Critical Equipment (DOSCE) during associate maintenance activities
- Participate and contribute to maintenance documentation review such as Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Job safety Analysis (JSA) and What-If Analysis
- Maintain work progress status and report to Supervisors on daily or ad hoc basis
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) workflow to receive, update and close assigned Work Orders and checklist
- Support in ensuring that contractors or third-party vendors execute maintenance tasks / activities at site effectively and efficiently
- Ensure that contractors carry out tasks/activities that adhered to safety, health, and environment regulations.
- Perform equipment or system testing / commissioning / Inspections / Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) to properly handover to the Operations team after maintenance / project completion
- Participate in routine safety drills, work order, troubleshooting and failure analysis
- Standby as duty technician for emergency activation to perform corrective maintenance after working hours
- Suggest and execute ideas for continuous improvement in maintenance procedures and processes to improve or optimize maintenance costs, work processes and safety standards
- Assist to maintain spare parts inventory levels, support on delivery checks by suppliers and maintain good preservation/housekeeping in the store
Job Requirements:
- Basic mechanical skills related to the use of hand and power tools
- Basic knowledge of process control, refrigeration, boilers, steam, pumps, heat exchangers, LOTO, and industrial safety practices
- Previous electrical work experience a plus
- Water treatment experience preferred
- 1-3 years' experience in chemical manufacturing environment a plus
- 4-5 years maintenance experience or educational equivalent preferred
- Computer Skills and CMMS software experience a plus
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- High school diploma or (GED) required
- Mechanical or Mechatronics l Nitec, Higher Nitec
