As a part of Tax Reimagined, you will be responsible for driving technology-enabled solutions across our tax practice. Working within a team or independently, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing tax technology solutions. Your expertise will be critical in identifying opportunities to optimize tax processes, mitigate risks, and leverage data analytics to deliver insights and value to our clients. You will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and utilizing the latest tax technology tools.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage tax technology solutions that enhance tax process efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with tax professionals and technology specialists to identify and assess opportunities for technology integration and automation within the tax practice.
- Analyse and understand client tax processes, requirements, and challenges, and propose innovative technology-driven solutions to address them.
- Utilize SQL, Alteryx, Qlik Sense, Python or R to gather, transform, and analyse tax data, identify data quality issues, and develop strategies to improve data integrity and accuracy.
- Utilize PowerBi, Tableau or other visual analytical tool to deliver key insights for informed decision making.
- Lead and support the implementation and integration of tax technology tools, including tax planning, compliance, and provision software.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest tax regulations, industry trends, and emerging tax technology solutions to provide thought leadership and guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data analytics strategies and models to deliver valuable tax insights to clients.
- Manage relationships with clients and evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance the tax practice's capabilities.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, project status, and emerging risks related to tax technology initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related field.
- 6 years of relevant experience in tax technology, tax consulting, data analyst or a related field.
- Strong understanding of business principles, regulations, and processes.
- Demonstrated experience with data analytics tools for data gathering, transformation, and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and deliver innovative tax technology solutions.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, colleagues, and technology vendors.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
