Senior Compliance Executive

We have an opportunity to invite qualified talent to join our exciting growth journey as Senior Compliance Executive. The person will be part of our team that have opportunities to work with others from different locations.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the company is conducting its business in full compliance with all national and international laws, including regulations that will involve the creation, review and implementation of policies and procedures and best practices within the industry.
  • Applies and interprets audit and compliance requirements for various departments
  • Interact with external auditors on matters related to audits of the organisation's internal controls
  • Assess potential fraud activity, plus develop fraud detection tools
  • Perform any or regular GAP analysis on new, updated controls and on best practices to make sure there is a robust risk and compliance framework in the organisation.
  • Have good experience with implementing various standards and ensure compliance with different regulatory boards
  • Assist the senior management to advise business units on existing and upcoming regulatory requirements including but not limited to:

(i) financial crimes and payment compliance, including sanctions, anti-bribery, anti-

money laundering, combating the financing of terrorism etc.

(ii) regulatory licensing

(iii) outsourcing, both internal as well as third party and

(iv) data privacy

  • Facilitate in obtaining, maintaining and/or renewing relevant regulatory licenses for all applicable jurisdictions, including the preparation and submission of all required documentation
  • Provide support in company initiatives, new acquisition, or integration projects
  • Conduct operational audits to ensure the company meets operational requirements
  • Conduct compliance risk assessment training workshops
  • Conduct internal reviews and audits
  • Advise senior management and business partners on the implementation of compliance programs
  • Assist to develop risk management strategies
  • Follow up on compliance issues that require investigation
  • Evaluate compliance systems and ensuring adequate software is in place
  • Report on compliance issues
  • Be the point of contact for the regulators and ability to deal with them

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in BA, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Commerce (a plus have Diploma in Compliance, AML and CAMS certified)
  • Preferably 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, ideally in the Payments or Fintech Industry
  • Able to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be driven, and commercially minded
  • Excellent computer skills, Office applications and other compliance finance and banking software
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. An analytical mind is also a must, and the ability to manage and prioritise work.
  • Singaporeans or PRs only
  • 5 days' work week
