This role is a 1 year contract.
Process Engineer
Responsibilities
- Support quality control and root cause investigations for both internal (IQC) and external (OTB and customer defect) findings by working closely with various departments such as Supplier Quality, Production, Quality Management and R&D.
- Coordinate short term containment as well as recommending appropriate improvements for prevention of recurrence.
- Responsible for the process control of assigned product and using statistical process control methods, he/she is required to review and analyse data to ensure process stability.
- Develop critical process metrics that can be monitored on a regular basis and resolving bottlenecks at the root cause.
- Periodic review and updating of all work procedures and checklists in accordance with ISO9001 standards.
- Develop and maintain FMEA and control plans for the assigned processes.
- Support in technical queries for manufacturing processes when required.
- Contribute to the review and approval of engineering changes, provide recommendations of improvements and ensuring change is implemented in Production/System Acceptance.
- In the event of line down due to defect, he/she is also responsible to escalate any topics for discussion and resolution.
- Conduct risk assessment with other stakeholders such as Quality Management, Production and Supplier Quality to highlight any product or human related safety risks for discussion and resolution.
- Involved in projects such as product knowledge transfer
- Responsible for ensuring all processes are set-up, execute and plan training, and supporting make activities in accordance to the project milestones.
- Other type of projects includes improvements where you will be required to initiate or participate in the fruition ideas for cost improvement of the products.
Requirements
- Min Diploma in Engineering
- 1 – 5 years’ experience in machine manufacturing or automation environment
- Ability to interface with different department and stakeholders
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong quality mindset
